MORE HOUSE FARM CATTERY
More House Farm Cattery was established in 1999 by the Burgoyne family. It is located in a beautiful old Sussex barn on their charming diversified former dairy farm.
The barn has been converted to house 24 individually heated pens.
We also have several interconnecting pens for larger families or if you would just like your cat to have a larger area to explore. These are limited in number and allocated on a first come basis.
There are 24hr security cameras around the farmyard and the staff live on site. There is also a veterinary practice in one of the other farm building.
We pride ourselves in providing a comfortable, friendly and stress free environment for your cat to stay in whilst you are away.
Every attempt is made to cater for any special needs your cat may have. If you have any concerns then please e mail to discuss specific needs. We supply everything your cat will need for their stay but please feel free to bring a favourite bed, blanket or toy.

We are closed for dropping and collecting on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
We do not charge VAT so prices are all inclusive.
We are fully insured and licensed by Lewes District Council.

YOUR CATS STAY
The Cattery opens at 8am each and every day. Each cat has breakfast and then each pen is thoroughly cleaned. Whilst each pen is being cleaned the occupant has a free run of the corridor to explore and meet some of his fellow residents – The cats are NEVER allowed to mix directly with one another.
After the daily clean, and all incoming & outgoing cats have arrived / departed they are left to relax with the radio quietly playing.
The cats are fed and watered again in the evening before settling down for the night, with a little treat – they are on holiday after all!
On colder days and nights all pens are individually heated.
FOOD
We carry Felix wet food, in a variety of flavours (Please let us know your cats preferences when dropping them off). Also Go Cat dry food and a multi mix dry food. If your cat is on a special diet, we ask that you bring enough for their stay. This includes kitten food.
Your cat will obviously miss you whilst you are away and some cats may lose their appetite as a result. In this event we have lots of yummy things to encourage them to regain their appetites.
BEDDING
We provide all bedding to keep your cat cosy during their stay, but we do encourage you to bring their favourite blanket or toy to remind them of home whilst you are away.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
We cater for a broad range of special requirements. If for any reason your cat is on medication we are able to continue this during their stay. EMERGENCIES
When you bring your cat in we ask for alternative contact numbers, as well as your vets details, in case we are unable to get hold of you on your travels. In the event of an emergency we will make every effort to contact you, but will take your cat to your vet without delay. If for any reason we are unable to contact your own vet, we will use Mid Sussex Veterinary Practice – who are based in the same farmyard only a few feet away
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
All we ask is that your cat is fully up to date with their vaccinations for Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu. Please bring their vaccination certificate along when you drop them off.
All guests should be up-to-date with prescribed flea and worming treatments. We recommend purchasing the required treatments directly from your vets as these are often more effective than treatments you can purchase over the counter.
If you are unsure about your cat’s vaccinations or worm and flea treatments your local vet will be happy to advise.

1 Cat in a single run - £9
2 Cats in a single run - £15
2 Cats in interconnecting runs - £18
3 Cats in interconnecting runs - £24
Prices are per night stayed.
Payment is by cash or cheque on collection or in advance by bank transfer.
Please e mail for bank details if you wish to pay by BACS.
We do not accept card payments onsite.
OPENING HOURS
We are open between 8am – 10am daily and viewings are welcome with an appointment within these times. Drop off and collection is also between 8am and 10am.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We ask for 72 hours notice of cancellations or amendments to your booking otherwise payment for the full stay originally booked will be necessary.
